Teamwork is a great way to approach a challenge.

Team members give one another encouragement, share training tips and stick with their team through thick and thin.

When it comes to the Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA) Ridge Run, being a team means everyone reaches the finish line on Monday, May 30.

It will be a great feeling when the team gets there. Not only will members reach their goal of finishing the race, they will have contributed to the team’s success.

Ridge Run teams are versatile. People can form a team to raise funds and awareness for an important cause or charity, or to promote training and fitness goals, or just to have fun from start to finish. Each team envisions what it wants to accomplish, then turns that vision into reality.

Teams can be fiercely competitive or serenely chill. They can run the 10K or 5K—or both if they decide to take up the Ridge Run Challenge. Or, they can walk the 5K.

Ridge Run teams can also take advantage of special incentives from BAPA. Teams receive vouchers for free pizza and beer on race day, a spot to set up a tent in Team Town at Ridge Park, a free team sign, a free team picture and $5 off on Ridge Run registration fees.

Teams are invited to participate in a pre-race fundraising party to benefit their charities, and enjoy Team Captain Check-in to streamline packet pickup for the entire team.

Best of all, Ridge Run teams build a sense of community as they plan, train, compete and celebrate their achievement.
